A Digital Phone Recorder Is Best

Posted by jones on September 30, 2008

If you’re trying to choose between a digital phone recorder and an analog, or cassette model, you may wonder what makes the digital device so much better.

First, while cassettes are still in use, and may continue in business use for a while, they are not as popular as they used to be, and finding cassettes is not as easy as it once was. If you plan to keep this device for ten years, you probably want to consider whether it will still be usable, and whether cassettes will be affordable and easy to find, ten years from now.

Second, if you archive your conversations, storing them on cassette takes a lot of room and some creativity in organizing. Digital telephone recorders store conversations on memory cards. You can easily upload conversations to your computer, archive and organize them, and even burn them on CDs or DVDs for long-term storage.

Third, cassettes can store no more than two hours of phone conversation (one hour per side), but most digital recorders can store dozens, even hundreds of hours of conversations.

Fourth, most digital recording devices have higher sound quality than cassette. Even the best cassette recorder will have a slight hiss from the turning of the cassettes. When you record with a digital phone device, you’ll get much cleaner, crisper sound.

Fifth, cassettes don’t duplicate well, and digital files can be copied endlessly with no loss of quality. This may not be important to you, but if you ever need to copy your conversations, the digital quality is much higher.

Sixth, and most importantly a digital telephone recorder is much cooler and more fun to use. It’s smaller, lighter, and more easily carried around, and, it’s really cool. While that may not be the most important factor for everyone, tech-savvy users will want the best device, and in terms of coolness, that’s definitely the digital one.

Posted by admin on September 18, 2008

If you need to find someones cell number – look at the Resources Page on this Site.  Scroll down the list and click the item Cell Phone Magic - claims to work, in fact it says ’100% guaranteed” – haven’t needed to try it myself yet – but if you do try it – please feed back on this site and let me know how it goes.

For those who don’t have a cell phone yet – why not?

It is the best thing to get and you can use it anytime.  Most people these days don’t even bother to use their landline, because using a cell phone is just so much fun.  Tired of seeing your friends send pictures and text each other?  Not exactly in the now crowd, and ready to take the dive into the digital world and get connected? Buying a cell phone isn’t as difficult as it used to be and many times less expensive than maintaining your landline at home with the added benefit of being able to take your phone everywhere.

One of the first things to know about buying a cell phone is the different companies that offer them and what kind of pricing plans that they have.  It is one thing to have a phone with all the bells and whistles that include the ability to text, take photographs, be your email, mp3 player, surf websites or even instant message your buddies on the internet, but those are useless if you don’t activate those services on your phone.  So choose a phone that will be right for you and best suit your needs.

The next thing you will need to know on buying a cell phone is the type of contract you will want.  Most cell phone companies in offering you their deals will expect you to sign a contract for a certain amount of time, often a 2 year contract.  But if signing a contract is not for you considering buying a cell phone that are pay as you go type phones where you only pay for the minutes you use with no contract required.  Buying a pay as you go phone does have its benefits for certain people especially those that cannot qualify for a long term contract.  Yes cell phone companies do a credit check for new people who are looking to buying a cell phone.

So everyone can own a cell phone and perhaps one day will eventually, if the trend continues, give up their landlines as cell phones become more technically advanced than being tied to a wall in your home.

Also as stated in the first paragraph, you can even find someones cell number if you need to.  So you will always find someone to contact in an emergency – so get a cell phone today, you will be very glad you did.

Hand Free Cell Phones

Posted by admin on September 17, 2008

As more and more people own cell phones and more and more people spend time commuting to and from work, more and more people tend to talk on the phone to pass the time as they are stuck in gridlock.  But as with more people talking on the phones while driving it is inevitable that concentration on the road is lost where many states are now making it illegal to talk on the phone while driving, that is if you don’t have a hand free cell phone.

Most every cell phone is equipped to be a hands free device where you can talk on the phone while doing other things without having to hold the handset to your ear.  The first hands free device that was available for the cell phone is the headset.  Like your walkman you have a headset that attaches to your ear with a microphone attached so you can walk, talk, cook, and care for your children.  But considering that the wire that attaches you to your cell phone can sometimes become a tangled mess, so comes the invention of the blue tooth a wireless headset that connects to your cell phone.

This makes the hand free cell phones very useable and helpful for those who are on the go. Hand free cell phones are also helpful for those who are driving to help them have both hands on the wheel instead of one holding the phone. Not only are hand free cell phones useful but also help in the safety factor of using them while driving.

Because companies knew that many cell phone users talk on the road, they took the hands free cell phone one step further offering to hardwire a car that a person can speak on the phone while driving without a headset at all.  It is like the entire interior of the car now is your phone so you can talk like you are talking to a passenger in the car.  If that is just out of your budget but still want the same type service, there are other hand free cell phone devices that allows you to connect your cell phone to a device that uses the radio of your car to hear the person you are talking to.

The other advantage of this system is that you can take this hand free cell phone system from car to car whereby making any car into a hands free cell phone device.

No matter what kind of hand free cell phone device you choose to use, state lawmakers and law enforcement officials understand the dangers of holding a handset to your ear while driving.  So if you state bans holding a cell phone to your ear while you drive, if you can’t stop talking on the phone, pick up a hand free cell phone device.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Free

There’s now a product called reverse phone detective which states that you can find out the owner of any cell phone or unlisted number.  Does it do what it claims to?  Some people think it’s great, while others think it’s a waste of time.  I suppose it may come in handy, if you are desperate to find out someone’s number, possibly.

However, some people are only starting their search for a cell phone, with so many choices it can be difficult to choose, so how can you make that choice?

With so many cell phones on the market looking for information on them can be quite daunting.  cell phone companies usually rely upon how a phone looks to draw a consumer in, then the pricing of the phone, especially for a potential new customer to draw them in.  The specifics and information of the cell phone usually comes below that and in fine print.  When looking for cell phone information you need to have an idea of what you want the phone to do for you other than make calls of course.

Do you need a phone to handle your email and other documents; then you might be looking for a PDA phone like the Palm or Blackberry.  If you want a phone for doing a lot of texting, you might want a phone that has a qwerty keyboard (normal keyboard for typists).  If you want a phone that is like an mp3 player and surf the web, perhaps you want to invest in the newest Iphone by Apple.  So in the quest for information on a cell phone will depend on what kind of phone you are looking for to suit your needs.

Another place to look for cell phone information is on the internet.  There you will get all the specifics to a cell phone as well as information and reviews from other customers that have those phones.  You might find that a phone you thought you would want doesn’t have as clear of connection as you would like or a feature you do want isn’t available on the phone you were interested in.  The other reliable source is the salespeople at the cell companies.  Although there are there to sell you a cell phone, often they are a wealth of knowledge when you are looking for information on a specific cell phone.

When looking for cell phone information, take your time and know what is being offered and the different plans.  Then choose one based on the cell phone information you have gathered to make the right choice for you.

Cell Phone Sales

Posted by admin on September 14, 2008

Everywhere you go, in the mall, in the office, in the car or just wandering outside, you will notice many people have cell phones.   But not too long ago, cell phones were only a dream as a communicator that existed only in science fiction.  Technology advances from the heavy brick phones with astronomical costs per minute to a slim line classy phone that is small enough to fit in your pocket with free airtime minutes.  With these kinds of cell phone sales who wouldn’t want a cell phone today?

Cell phone sales are so brisk that it has been predicted that at sometime in the near future, most people will have given up their land lines for only a cell phone.  Consider this, at one time, one phone company was in control that the government had to divide the company up to lower the rates for the customers.  Competition has turned out to be very good for cell phone companies as they work to lasso you in to their very lucrative deals, often making you sign long term deals.

But despite the long contracts with terrifying termination fees, the deals usually are quite attractive.  Now with cell phone sales, a customer can keep their number and transfer it from company to company while being courted with offers of free phones or discounted phones and attractive monthly fees.  Another attractive feature that cell phone companies use to generate cell phone sales is by offering free long distance calls without extra costs like traditional landlines charge.  And now with many cell phone companies vying to become your main phone service provider they are now offering unlimited calls to anywhere in the US with no long distance or roaming charges.

With these kinds of offers, cell phone sales are sure to continue that perhaps one day, land lines will become a thing of the past.
